inlingua Singapore : Japanese Language Courses15 hours per weekThe Japanese Language Department offers a wide range of Japanese Language Courses. Our teachers come from Japan. They are all native speakers and university graduates, trained to teach Japanese as a foreign language. The Japanese Department offers both full-time and part-time courses, individual tuition and group lessons, Japanese for general and specific purposes, classes for adults and children (7 – 15 year olds), long and short duration courses. Japanese Holiday Courses for Singapore School Children are available in June and November-December, Monday to Friday, 9am-12pm. This includes 10 hours of speaking plus 5 hours of self-access listening per week (minimum 4, maximum 15 participants per class). Full-time courses are designed for locals or foreign nationals who wish to come to Singapore to study a language on a full-time basis. To do this you will need to apply to the Singapore Government for a student pass. You may enrol for 3 lessons per day. Each lesson lasts 50 minutes and is followed by a 10 minute break. For our General Purpose programmes there are 12 testing levels ranging from complete beginners to intermediate classes. After an initial Placement Test (both Written and Oral), new students are put into a group class according to their level of competence. Regular progress tests, every 4 weeks, help the teachers monitor each student’s mastery of each language level in the course. The overall training system is rigorous and effective. |
