inlingua Singapore : School Rules

1. To reserve your place on a language programme you must pay the first S$400 (overseas students) or S$100 (local students) of your fees. This is non-refundable and is part payment for the programme.

2. You should also pay a Student Pass Handling Fee of S$214, if you need a Student Pass.

3. For an English Language Programme you must take a written and oral test as soon as you arrive at the Training Centre in order to place you in your correct course level. To enrol for other languages you will only need to take a placement test if you are not a complete beginner.

4. You will take regular progress tests. A score of 60% in a progress test normally enables you to continue onto the next level. If you miss a progress test, you must take it as soon as possible. We will charge a late or early test fee of S$55.

5. You must pay all fees before you begin your course. This applies to both group and individual tuition. You cannot normally transfer your fees to another student. Fees will be forfeited if you withdraw from the course, are absent or are expelled from the Centre. Courses and fees may be changed annually.

6. You should observe all the inlingua Regulations set out below. If you do not do so, you may be expelled from the Training Centre.

7. The School reserves the right to re-schedule any course of tuition, which could mean either a change in the morning and afternoon time or a change in the Clementi and Orchard location. Lessons are not held on public holidays and are not replaced.

8. The Centre does not accept responsibility for the loss of personal property or for loss resulting from theft, fire or injury sustained on our premises.

9. You should attend all sessions and must give reasons for any absences. You should be punctual for all sessions.

10. You should co-operate with your trainers in the principles of our teaching method and participate actively in your programme.

11. While on our premises you should help maintain our academic atmosphere by not disturbing other groups being trained.

12. Rooms and corridors should be kept neat and tidy at all times. Eating and drinking are not permitted in the training rooms or corridors.

13. Smoking and chewing gum are not permitted anywhere on our premises.

14. Course participants who deface or damage inlingua or homestay property will be charged for any repairs or replacement costs.

15. We reserve the right to ask a course participant to leave our premises for inappropriate behaviour.

16. Course participants should observe a proper dress code while in school at all times. No slippers or indecent attire are allowed.

17. Your personal data is collected solely for the purpose of enrolment and market research. Data is password-protected and confidential. Class photographs may occassionally be used in marketing materials. You consent to this by signing this form or by filling in the on-line Local/Overseas Student Enrolment Form.

I have read and agreed to the Training Centre Regulations.
